Päätin lähteä kesken viikkoa mökille jotta saisin tauon arjesta. Aurinko paistoi koko päivän ja ensimmäistä kertaa pystyi ottamaan aurinkoa. Onnistuin jopa palamaan naamasta, vaikka olin kivenkovaa pätenyt että auringosta ei voi vielä palaa. Noh nyt se on ainakin on saatu selville…

I decided to go to my cottage in the middle of the week so I could get a break from the hectic life.The sun was shining the whole day, and for the first time it was warm enough to tan. I was so sure that I would not get sunburned but I managed to burn my face. Oh well, you learn from your mistakes right?

Yksi syy miksi tarvitsin tätä minilomaa on koska olen erittäin stressaantunut yliopiston pääsykokeista. Monet hakee tänä vuonna yliopistoon, enkä varmasti ole ainoa joka tuntee paineita. Minulla ei ole selvää visiota, miltä tulevaisuus tulee näyttämään. En tiedä tarkalleen mitä haluan opiskella, mitä työtä haluan tehdä tai missä haluan asua. Tiedän ettei näitä asioita vielä tarvitse tietää, mutta kuitenkin tuntuu että yhteiskuntamme “pakottaa” meidät valitsemaan suuntamme liian aikaisin. Olen luonnostaan kiinnostunut monista asioista, joten on vaikeaa päättää vain yksi suunta, vieläpä näin aikaisin. Onko teillä muilla sama fiilis? Onko tedänkin mielestä tyhmää että nuoriso joutuu tekemään niin suuria valintoja niin aikaisin?

One reason why I really needed this short brake is because I have been really stressed out lately. I am applying for University this spring, and there is a lot of pressure involved in the process of applying. Many are applying right now and I am sure that I am not the only one feeling stressed. I am not sure how my future is going to look like. I don´t know what I want to study, what job I want to have and I am not sure where I want to live. I know that you don´t have to know these things yet, but I feel like our society is “forcing” us to chose a direction in a very early age. I am a person who is interested in a lot of things and therefore it is hard for me to choose one thing that I would focus on. Do you have the same feeling? Do you think that it is a bad thing that teens need to make such big choices in such an early age?

Viime viikolla kävin laittamassa hiukset keväiseen kuntoon. Minulla ei ole koskaan ollut näin vaaleita raitoja, enkä voisi olla enempää tyytyväinen. Kävin laittamassa hiukset kampaamo Gyylissä joka sijaitsee Helsingissä. Hiukseni teki Minna Puustinen joka myös tekee meikkejä ja kampauksia. Itseäni aluksi jännitti lopputulos mutta hiuksista tuli superhyvät! Suosittelen Minnaa lämpimästi kaikille jotka ovat uutta kampaajaa vailla!

Last week I went and got my hair done for a spring look. I went with a really blond color and Im so happy with the result. I went to the hair salon named Gyyli placed in Helsinki. My hair was done by Minna Puustinen who also does makeup and hairstyles. At first I was a little bit nervous about dying my hair but the result was better than I expected! I recommend Minna for everyone who are in need for a new hair dresser!

Pääsiäinen tuli mökillä vietettyä perheen kanssa. Me saunottiin, luisteltiin jäällä, syötiin (paljon) suklaamunia ja nautittiin auringonpaisteesta. Mä rakastan aurinkoa ja nautin ulkona olemisesta vaikka olisi kuinka kylmä ulkona, kunhan vaan on sitä auringonpaistetta. Lempi tapahtuma koko pääsiäisessä oli kun maalattiin munia. Vaikka niistä ei tullut mitään taideteoksia, meillä oli tosi hauskaa…

I spent this Easter with my family on the countryside. We went to the sauna, we went ice skating on the frozen sea, we ate (a lot ) of chocolate eggs and enjoyed the sun. I love the sun and enjoy being outside despite the cold weather, all I need is the sunlight. My favorite part of this Easter was painting the eggs. The eggs did not turn out to be masterpieces but oh well, it was fun….
